District Hilton. Reservations for your rooms are now o=

Parking at the hotel is a bit pricey, $42/day with in & out
privileges. An alternative is=

24, 2006 -- Picnic at Washington

w:st=3D"on">Burlingame
At 9am, we
board the buses for a ride down the Peninsula to Burlingame. On our way, we’ll be taking =
our
own personalized mini-tour of Chinatown,
passing by a few significant Chow family landmarks.
We arrive at the park at about 10:00. We will
be BBQ’ing chicken, hamburgers and hot
dogs. Amenities at Washington Park include a playground, basketb=
all
courts, tennis courts, and baseball field.=
Bring your mitts!
We’ll also have badminton, and plenty of games, including our =
first
annual watermelon seed spitting contest.&n=
bsp;
The town’s main shopping street, Burlingame Avenue, is just a
couple of blocks away, for those of you who want to go for a walk or need y=
our
caffeine fix at either Starbuck’s or Michele’s beloved Peet’s.
Our family picture will be taken today.
The buses return at 3pm
to take us back to SF, arriving at the hotel at about 3:45.&n=
bsp;
We have a couple of hours of free time. If you want to get a bite to eat or
explore on your own, Chinatown is right on your doorstep and North Beach
is just two blocks away.
At 6pm<=
/st1:time>,
we board motorized cable cars for a guided tour of the city. For you locals, it’s a chanc=
e to
play tourist and get a fun ride on one of those cable cars we always see but
never get to ride on! We need a firm commitment on whether =
you
will participate in this event. To

We return to the hotel at about 8:30pm, where a light meal and desserts =
will be
served in our meeting room. G=

movies and socializing continue until midnight.

June 25, 2006 – Auntie Ann’s 90th
Birthday Celebration
At about 9am, a bus will begin shuttling us to Yang Si=
ng
Restaurant for the brunch party where we will be joined by Auntie Ann’=
;s
many other friends and relatives.
Look for your separate invitation for this event to arrive in the ma=
il.
Check-out time at the hotel is 11am, so you will have to check out of the hotel pri=
or to
the brunch. The hotel would o=
nly
guarantee two rooms from our group for a late checkout time at 2pm. You can request a late
checkout--they may find they can do it for more rooms. If not, you may store your bags in=
one
of the two rooms until after the brunch.&n=
bsp;
I think they will also have a porter station where they will keep ba=
gs.
Brunch ends at 1pm
and the bus will shuttle us back to the hotel. Leong Reunion 2006 ends!
